Did you know that studies have shown that clothing deprivation has a significant effect on social participation?  Inadequate clothing can be a part of a sad equation that leads children to skip school and have behavioral and academic problems. With the help of our school nurses, we can identify children who are in desperate need of clothing.

In Georgetown, South Carolina statistics show that children living below the poverty level are 51.3%, compared to our state average of 22.7%.  In 2019 St. Christopher’s Children was able to reach 155 children in our community, providing needed clothing and critical orthodontia care.  With the help of our community partners, donors, STCC Resale store, and various grants we can continue helping the disadvantaged children of Georgetown County.
