St. Christopher's Resale Store Celebrates New Location

The month of April began Thursday with St. Christopher’s Children Resale Store opening its new location.

Since 2014, the store that benefits the programs offered by St. Christopher’s Children was located near Applewoods House of Pancakes. That changed Thursday when a ribbon cutting – sponsored by the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce – was held to officially open the store’s new location at 12017 Ocean Highway in Pawleys Island.

The store sells a variety of items but specializes in clothing.

Cutting the ribbon Thursday was Bob Pelletier, the founder of the store. Even though he is grieving the March 16 death of his wife of 68 years, Ruth Pelletier, Pelletier made sure he was on hand to celebrate the organization that means so much to him.

St. Christopher’s partners with Georgetown County Schools and other agencies to help children in need with clothing, medical, and dental care. That have helped more than 3560 children since our inception.

Their goal for 2021 is to raise $200K to help an additional 200 children in Georgetown County.
